Do the RIGHT Thing... with Your LEFTovers from Easter

Okay, so the Easter festivities are over.

Everyone had a really good time and lots of food to eat (we'd say it was a blast)... and now your fridge is fully loaded with leftovers (like our delicious HoneyBaked Ham ) which unfortunately, many people dread eating again over the next few days.

The question now is, since you really don’t want to get rid of all that extra yummy food, what do you do next?!

Well sit back and relax, because we have 7 delectable ideas for turning your leftover ham into many more delicious and interesting dishes. Let the game of "Reinvented Leftovers" begin--

1) HAM & PINEAPPLE QUICHE
Those tender slices of ham are perfect for making a fabulous egg pie. Simply dice it, mix, then bake.
Serve and enjoy. We personally love the sound of ham, pineapple and cheddar quiche. Mmmm!

2) HERBED HAM FRITTATA
Frih-what, you might ask?! Frittatas are like a giant omelet and quiche rolled into one. After cooking it you can slice it like a pie and serve. How about making an ham frittata with all your favorite veggies & fresh herbs tonight for dinner?

3) HAWAIIAN PIZZA
Ham leftovers are especially yummy as toppings on homemade pizzas. Just pick up some tomato sauce, cheese & ready-made crust from your local market on the way home, add a little diced pineapple, bake and wah-la. A fast and easy dinner using excess Easter fare that even your kids will enjoy!

4) HAM & VEGGIE SOUP
Ham (especially when you have a lot of it on hand) is always prime for making soup because it brings out a tremendous amount of flavor when placed in a slow cooker. Why not dice & toss your leftover ham into a crockpot with some fresh vegetables (we love golden peas) and low-sodium seasonings for a hassle-free supper option this week?!

5) PORK & POTATO CASSEROLE:
Any recipe that includes directions to “cook until hot and bubbly” has to be good right?! We agree! That's why casserole dishes can be ideal for leftover ham. Try a hearty ham and creamy potato casserole this week for a fabulous (not to mention satisfying) dinner!

6) HAM & CHEDDAR PASTA

While some folks may be fans of cold noodles, many more people are enthusiasts of hot pasta (especially when it’s prepared "comfort food-style"). Turn your remaining hunk o' pig into a ham & cheese ziti, why don't you?! Not only is your dish sure to turn out delicious, it's an excellent way to showcase how well you can creatively re-purpose your leftovers!

7) SAVORY HAM & CHEESE MUFFINS
That's right, we said muffins. You may be thinking, "how could leftover meat go into a baked treat... but it is possible (sans the chocolate chips and other sweet fixins of course)! Just think savory instead of sweet with this dish. Turn them into ham and cheese muffins and you'll be an instant hero with your Easter leftovers!
